Have是英語中最常用的動詞之一.它具有雙重作用──既可用作助動詞，又可用作一般動詞.現結

合初中英語課本簡述如下：

一、作助動詞，幫助構成各種完成時態：

I have just washed my clothes.我剛洗完衣服.

When I got there,the train had already left.

我到時，火車已經開走了.

助動詞have和has常可分別縮略爲-'ve,-'s.所以I've=I have,We've=We have,He's=He

has,It's=It has.但是，當have(has)處於句末時，不能用縮略形式.如：

──Have you finished your homework?

──Yes,I have.（不能用yes,I've.）

二、作一般動詞，主要有以下幾種用法：

1.表示“有”；.如：

It has no eyes and no ears.它既無眼又無耳.

當表示“有”時，have的疑問式和否定式有兩種構成方法.第一種方法是不用助動詞.把have提到

主語前面構成疑問式，在have後加not構成否定式.如：

Has Mary any story-books？瑪麗有故事書嗎？

I haven't any paper.我沒有紙.

第二種方法是用助動詞do構成其疑問式和否定式.如：

Do you have any tea here？ 你這兒有茶嗎？

I don't have a ruler. 我沒有尺子.

英國人多用第一種方法，美國人多用第二種方法.

在兩種方法都正確的情況下，應當注意，用哪種形式提問，必須用同樣的形式回答.如：

A:Have you an eraser?

B:Yes,I have.(No,I haven't.)

A:Do you have an eraser?

B:Yes,I do.(No,I don't.)

表示“有”時，have不能用進行時.如不能說：

I'm having a bike.(*)

在口語中，人們常用have got來代替have表示“有”.如：

He has got a car.他有一輛車.

Have you got a knife？ 你有小刀嗎？

2.和具有動作含義的名詞連用.如：

Let me have a look.讓我看看.

We're going to have a swim in the lake.

我們打算在湖中游泳.

這樣用時，have只表示動作，不表示什麼意義，動作的實際內容是其後邊的名詞所包含的.所以：

to have a look=to look

to have a swim=to swim

to have a rest=to rest

不過，用“have+名詞”的形式往往含有“一次”“一會兒”等意思.

3.和其他各詞連用，表示“上（課）”“吃（飯）”“開（會）”等.如：

We have breakfast in the morning.

我們早上吃早飯.
